The Australasian Timber Drying Group (ATDG) is a non profit organisation funded by its members that is aimed at facilitating the exchange of technical information relating to timber drying between industrial operators, kiln manufacturers and researchers.
The group meets once or twice each year in various locations throughout Australasia and in doing so takes information to the members and avoids the costs of conferences or other forums often conducted in larger population centres. In this way sawmill operators/owners can expose their operational staff to leading technicians in the field and the most recent developments that is often not readily afforded.
While many members do not attend all meetings, all information is made available through the internet from the groups web site (www.atdg.org.au)
The group is funded through a modest annual membership fee currently set at A$100, and has successfully achieved its aim of information exchange for over 30 years.
The ATDG welcomes all new members who have interest in timber drying, and if you conduct timber drying in your business then join now and learn from the best in the field.
